Ad Astra was announced back in 2016 by the director James Gray. It takes some time because Gray wanted to create the most realistic space travel movie. In his own words:

"the most realistic depiction of space travel that's been put in a movie."

However, the plot moves about the astronaut Roy McBride (Brad Pitt) that he feels the need to go into space after his long lost father (Tommy Lee Jones) disappears mysteriously. The film also stars Ruth Negga, Liv Tyler and Donald Sutherland. Therefore Ad Astra film should be a blockbuster movie with lines of the best actors, so we can't wait.
